Marc is a type of brandy made from the grape pomace that is produced when making wine, and in Burgundy, producers of the world’s finest wines, such as Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, and in Bordeaux, Château Mouton Rothschild, produce high-quality Marc.
I purchased this from Wine Shop Fujii, who always takes care of me. Wine Shop Fujii is unusual for a local liquor store, and I am always grateful for their polite customer service and explanations, which are always informative!
By the way, I have never used it, but you can drink wine by the glass while standing. I would like to try it someday.
1978 Lou Dumont Marc de Bourgogne
The skins, etc. after pressing of the 1978 vintage “Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru”, “Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru”, and “Côtes de Nuits Villages” (all average tree age of approximately 50 years) are distilled and aged in barrels for 8 years.
This is a slightly early post, but we will be open until Sunday, December 29th for the year.
On the 29th, we will have a year-end party plan menu for 4,000 yen with 3 hours of all-you-can-drink, including this year’s gratitude. (Drinks and food can be brought in, please note that it may be standing room only)

The other day, after stocking up at Makomanai Nemoto Liquor Store, I finally went to Yakiniku Tengei, a yakiniku restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. The offal, gatsu (pig stomach), shirotan (white tongue), and pig’s trotters were particularly impressive and delicious! My daughter seemed interested in the ribs and offal, so we ordered more.
It seems that the owner has been running the place alone for over 45 years, and it was fun to hear stories about this area from the old days.
Anyway, the owner is a very nice person, and I wish I had gone sooner! (Regular customers called her “Mama”)
I felt that the reason they have been in business for so long is because of their loving customer service.
By the way, it’s incredibly reasonable! It’s a blessing for young people and families!

*She is operating alone. I made a reservation by phone and went. There are 8 counter seats. There is no parking.
